A couple of things jumped out at me while visiting brother Inspired's blog NE29 this evening:
First, the posts are both concise and meaningful. Take "One Door" for example. That is a beautiful post...it set me back on my heels, it blew my mind. A connection between a seemingly immaterial physical detail about Noah's Ark and an intrinsic truth about the salvation offered by our Lord Jesus Christ, the One True God Incarnate. In 41 words (of them 11 in parenthetical citations or footnote) comprising three paragraphs. I write two posts, co-mingle topics and set verbosity records while still not saying clearly "I had a nice holiday with my family." So, not only am I inspired by the NE29 content, I am also inspired to work on my own writing to seek clarity, focus, and concise thoughts. Not that this post is shaping up to be an example of my progress 8-0 All kidding aside, all I'm trying to say is "beautiful work, Inspired."
The second thing that hit me tonight was Inspired's "about me" quote: "the spirit of Friendship is the Friendship of the Spirit." It dawned on me that this is what I was trying to say about greeting folks while out and about over the holidays. The spirit of love and friendship. If we could all treat each other as nicely all year round, we'd all be taking a big step forward to fulfilling one of our Lord's greatest commands: ...love one another as I have loved you John 15:12 (KJV). How did Jesus love us? He sent His Holy Spirit!
That's inspiring!!!
Peace!
